Schedule: Onsite
Pay: $30–$32/hr
Employment Type: Temporary, through the end of the year
Our client is a well-established global food manufacturer known for its spices, seasonings, and food products. They are looking for a Production Planning Coordinator to support production scheduling and help ensure customer orders are completed on time.
This position works closely with Production, Customer Care, Purchasing, and Quality teams to manage schedules, coordinate changes, and help resolve day-to-day production issues.
Responsibilities- Create and schedule production batches
- Coordinate with Production leadership on expedite and delay requests
- Communicate scheduled orders and schedule changes to Customer Care and Production
- Work with Purchasing on raw material expedite and delay requests
- Expedite orders through the system when needed
- Cut and size batches based on customer orders and stocking needs
- Coordinate with Customer Care, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality
- Monitor production schedules and help keep customer orders on track
- Help identify and resolve daily production and scheduling issues
- Lead or support cross-department problem-solving efforts
- Export and format basic reports from the ERP system
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Department
- 2+ years of related production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or operations experience preferred
- Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus
- Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- ERP experience preferred; Microsoft Dynamics AX or BXM is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with numbers, ratios, percentages, and basic calculations
- Accurate data entry and reporting skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual skills are a plus
